Planning Around the Homeowner’s Fence and Walkway
Crape myrtles are a popular choice for homeowners in Cave Spring, VA, because of the color and structure they bring to yards and walkways each spring. But without regular trimming, crape myrtles can grow dense and uneven, with branches pushing toward fences, pathways, and homes. That’s what led this Cave Spring homeowner to call Integrity Tree Service.
When the crew arrived, they walked the property and evaluated each tree before starting any cuts. They identified which branches needed to come down for clearance, which needed structural pruning to correct uneven growth, and which to leave alone to protect each tree’s natural form.
The trees’ position along the fence line and walkway meant the crew had to plan every cut carefully to avoid any contact with the surrounding property.
Professionally Trimming and Pruning the Crape Myrtle Trees
The crew started with deadwood removal on each tree, clearing out dead and weakened branches that were adding weight and disrupting the trees’ structure. From there, they performed canopy shaping and crown thinning to improve airflow, reduce density, and even out the growth along the fence line.
Before they left, the crew recommended professional tree care and tree health maintenance services, such as regular pruning and inspections, to help prevent similar issues in the future.
